It was dedicated to Saint Pantaleone of Nicomedia. Chiesa di San Pantaleo was not opened until 1856 and is characterized by a large hemispherical dome, four ellipsoidal domes and another dome in the presbytery. The church also houses statues of the apostles and a bell tower that was built only in 1899.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monte d&#8217;Accoddi &#8211; Only about 10 kilometers north of Sassari is this important archaeological site. The Monte d&#8217;Accoddi settlement is over 6200 years old, with construction of the main structure probably begun as early as 3000 BC. The site includes a pyramid-shaped structure with a ramp leading to an upper platform. Remains of a village and several cult sites have also been discovered near the pyramid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local markets and festivals &#8211; There are many local markets and festivals in Sorso.
